Montarent delivers it’s two-hundredth quick-assembly tower crane made to Stephenson Equipment
The two hundredth M32-4WDS crane at MontaRent Construction Logistics.
Beverwijk “This is kicking,” says director Cor Koopmans of Montarent Construction Logistics when he sees the two-hundredth quick-assembly tower crane going up at his company at Duiveland in Beverwijk. After just over 25 years, the milestone was celebrated with coffee, tea and a delicious sandwiches in the company of colleagues and customers from home and abroad.
The youngest member of the Montalift family is going on a long journey, Koopmans knows. “He can now shine for a while. Literally, because the crane shines on all sides. Next week the colossus will be transported on a low loader to Antwerp where it will be transported in the hold of a ship to Baltimore in the United States of America. Once there, the second low-loader follows and takes it to its destination Harrisburg,Pennsylvania and Stephenson Equipment the United States master distributor of the Montalift product.
The way Cor Koopmans talks about ‘his’ M32-4WDS radiates knowledge and passion. “The wheels can be steered independently and are all driven. The crane can lift four tons up to ten meters and one ton at a maximum reach of thirty meters.” And then there are the parts. “The chassis is assembled at Montarent and what you see on top comes from Manitowoc-Potain. All Montalift Cranes are one hundred percent green, because that is increasingly the requirement these days. For the USA we always make a version that works on 480 Volt and when everything is put together, like this one, it is ‘our’ crane, the Montalift.”
